Thank you for taking the time to view my blog.  I feel a significant amount of apprehension as I post personal thoughts and stories for the world to see.  I hope it’s taken in the right light and recognized that I do it in humility, knowing that the messages contain truths I was inspired to share.

I don’t claim to be an amazing speaker, a learned scriptorian, or even a mastered professor of religion of any kind. What I do know, is that I have written and have spoken the words I felt inspired to, at the moments I was asked to fulfill an assignment within my calling. As you will see in the talks I will be blogging, I am NOT a good writer or speaker, but the words I write and speak seem to make sense and have some pretty good meaning behind them.

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I currently serve as a High Councilman in our Stake and as part of that calling, amongst other things, have been asked to speak monthly to a congregation in a meeting we call Sacrament Meeting. After we partake of the Sacrament (a Sacred Ordinance where we renew covenants made at baptism) A companion and I have the opportunity to share our thoughts for about 15-20 minutes each and speak to a congregation of families. My topics are usually assigned, and I’m given the task to research and prepare the message as it seems appropriate. I believe, the areas I study, the words I write down, and the thoughts I share are impressions I receive from the Holy Ghost.

Over the last couple of years, I’ve gone back and read through these messages, and a few times I’ve been very impressed with the things that were written. That is no credit to me. I know that I’m but a tool to deliver a message that someone needs to hear each time I speak. The influence to prepare these talks is something very dear to my heart. I know the messages have benefited me, individuals I’ve spoken to, and I believe they can be a great influence to some that are seeking additional truth in their own lives. Having the talks just sitting on my hard drive doesn’t do anyone any good. I have felt for a while that I needed to get them out on the internet and share them with others in hopes that someone may find inspiration for their own life. I hope these talks can bring comfort to those who stand in need, be an answer to prayer for someone seeking answers, or perhaps offer an opportunity for someone to learn about Jesus Christ and the hope, salvation, and true joy that only HE can bring.

As you read, please forgive my shortcomings in writing, grammar, punctuation, spelling, and even some of my references. I take ZERO credit for the words written. Sometimes I’m not very good at referencing all the quotes I use and giving the right person the credit for the statements they have made in the past. In fact, if you find an error or think I posted something incorrect, PLEASE let me know ASAP. Thank you for taking the time to read and or share any of the messages here in. Also, if there is a line, paragraph, page, or an entire talk you would like to use… feel free. Again, they are not my words anyway. If they will benefit someone else out there because you were able to repeat them… so be it!
